Registration for our Johnson Rec 2024 Fall Soccer season will start on August 1st and run through to August 31st. As usual parents, guardians, and players will be able to find more information about the upcoming season on this webpage, our Facebook, Front Porch Forum, and the JES Jag Journal. We have had dance, gymnastics, archery, lacrosse, and family pick-up games. We will update this page and our Facebook page when new programs are going to be offered. Please also check, if your child attends Johnson Elementary, your school JAG journal for information.
Johnson Recreation
Johnson Recreation serves to provide a healthy, active environment for the community of Johnson. We run youth teams for district/league sports, intramural and wellness sports and activities, and coordinate and sponsor special events. We’re also committed to providing equipment, land use, and coordination of facility use for recreational events.
Our goal is to continuously provide recreational opportunities for the community. The Recreation Committee meets the third Thursday of every month, from 6-7, in the Johnson Recreation Storage Facility (unless otherwise noted). Do you have time to help or ideas to share? Come and join us! We’re always looking for new members, volunteers, and community member involvement!

As many of you know, Johnson Recreation has been using Sports Engine as our main program to set-up our sports registrations, messages, emails and coach collaborations. About Old Mill Park
The Old Mill Park is an incredible 20-acre park with beautiful mountain views. The park features multiple soccer fields, baseball fields, a softball field, a new playground, and a walking path navigating the perimeter of the park. The park is a spectacular spot for a picnic, a walk or play. It is adjacent to Lamoille Valley Rail Trail where there is a welcome center outfitted with a water fountain, a water spout for our four-legged friends to use, and a portlet.
We ask that all attending our beautiful park help maintain its beauty for others who will come as well. Please dispose of all trash in proper containers or pack it out when you leave. Please follow all Town and Village ordinances around walking your four-legged friends with you in the park. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and there are Dog waste bag dispensers placed within the park for the owner's convenience to keep our athletic fields clear.
Reserving Space at Old Mill Park or Legion Field?
Do you have an event you would like to host at one of our parks? Birthday parties, team building exercises, sporting events, etc. Go to our form section on this page fill out a TOJ Facility Use Agreement form and email a copy to tojrecreation@townofjohnson.com with pertinent information about your event.
Please send the form promptly before your event is scheduled to allow proper time to process.
Our new playground has been an exciting addition to our facility at Old Mill Park and hope it brings many years of fun for our great community and all that visit.
